Archer announces general availability of Archer Release 6.10. This release delivers enhancements for Archer use cases and the Archer Platform.
Archer Release 6.10 is immediately available in all languages supported by Archer, including English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, and simplified Chinese.
Archer Release 6.10 includes the following updates to Archer use cases:
- Archer Operational Scenario Analysis use case (introduced in September 2021 for the Archer Operational Resilience solution area) includes the following additions:
- Operational Scenario Library provides a catalog of Operational Scenario templates that can be used to automate the creation of scenario records.
- Enhanced BIA Campaign enables the bulk creation of BIA records in the Business Impact Analysis use case by either business processes, products and services, or business unit.
- Resilience ratings and percentages for each of the five resilience pillars - cyber, facilities, IT infrastructure, people, and suppliers. These metrics are calculated at the product and service, business unit, division, and company level.
- Archer Audit Management use cases:
- New scoping capabilities give Audit Program Managers the flexibility to scope their Audits in a variety of ways with Risks or Controls as the basis
- Flexible hierarchy in the auto-generation of Audit Workpapers.
- Addition of PBC Requests and Evidence Repository applications to expand interoperability of Archer Audit Management use cases with Archer Regulatory & Corporate Compliance Management use cases.
- New Audit Observations application captures Audit process items/recommendations that fall below the level of a Finding.
- Updated user experience for application layouts, dashboards, and reports.
- Archer Business Resiliency use cases:
- The Archer Policy Program Management and Archer IT & Security Policy Program Management use cases are updated to include new advanced workflow processes and Comments sub-form in the Policies and Control Standards applications.
- The Enterprise & Operational Risk Management, IT & Security Risk Management, and Regulatory & Corporate Compliance use cases were updated with an enhanced Risk Register to support risk-based audit scoping.
- The Archer Enterprise Catalog package has been updated to enable the above Use Case changes. The following applications saw updates: Applications, Business Processes, Business Unit, Company, Contacts, Control Procedures, Devices, Division, Facilities, and Product and Services.
This release includes the following Platform enhancements:
- Application Builder enhancements:
- Within the Rules Tab, users can create and copy actions from the Associated Actions section.
- From the Actions tab, users can associate, create, and copy rules from the Associated Rules Section.
- A Conditional Layout Action can be applied by Admins to expand or collapse all sections/fields within the Layout Configuration Section with a single click.
- Navigate from Application Listing to Designer Tab directly by clicking on the name of the Structure Display.
- Copying an application with Custom Nodes alerts Admins that the system will not copy these workflows.
- Licensing Information is available to Admins and uses new React technology.
- Reporting enhancements:
- Sankey Charts provide visualization of the relationship between two entities with respect to their weighted distribution. This chart type is only available when search results return two groups and one aggregate.
- Combination Charts have been updated to include chart markers to enable visualization of thresholds for individual data points. The second aggregate within the search is treated as a marker.
- Custom colors are available on Tree Maps, Sunburst and other charts with drilldown option.
- Archer Help:
- It will be moving to a cloud-based system over the next several Archer releases.
- Archer Release 6.10 begins this transition of Archer Help to the cloud by providing a mini-help capability with the most relevant topics for administrators and end users available as they were in previous releases.
- Each topic also includes a link to the cloud Archer Help where additional topic updates can be viewed.
- The remainder of the Archer Help documentation for Release 6.10 is available in the Archer Community via RSA Link.
- Documentation will not require a login and will be web-searchable.
- Cloud access for Archer products will be available from a documentation landing page.
As a reminder, please note the following updates:
- Internet Explorer 11 moved to Extended Support with Release 6.9 SP3 and Release 6.10. Please review the blog on the Archer Community via RSA Link for additional information.

Archer recommends that customers running Archer Releases 6.6, 6.7, 6.8, 6.9.x, 6.10 apply this latest update. Please note that all releases are cumulative. If you are running Archer Release 6.2 or earlier, you must first upgrade to Release 6.8 and then upgrade to Release 6.10.
