This article describes how to use PowerBI to retrieve Archer data.


Resolution


1. Open Power BI Desktop > Get Data dropdown > Select OData Feed. Navigate to: http://localhost/Archer/contentapi.
Note: Use your URL in place of 'http://localhost/Archer'.

2. Choose Basic.

3. Find Session Token and use Session-id for User name and the Session Token for Password.

Note: Session token is in tblSession or Chrome cookies.

4. Once you are logged into the session, you'll see Archer spread by application/field in PowerBI allowing you to begin reporting.

You will need the following to do this:
  • PowerBI desktop
  • Active Archer Session
  • A way to get session token - SQL, cookie in Chrome
