Description
When attempting to delete a value from a Global Values List, it gives the below warning:
The selected Value "ValueName" cannot be deleted because of the following dependencies.
The dependency is that the value is used in a record. However, that record was created in an Application that is now Archived, thus the record itself cannot be deleted.
Cause
This is functioning as designed.
Workaround
There are two workarounds:
- The archived records must be deleted. To delete these records, please change the application status to Development, then delete the record/s and change it back to Archived.
- Change the values in those records before you can delete the value in the GVL.
