Description

This article provides additional tips and steps to set up Tableau with Archer, in addition to the Using the Tableau Web Data Connector guide in the Archer Help.

Resolution

Refer to the below steps:

1. The first thing to understand is that Tableau DOES NOT work with SSO. You must not be using SSO in order to use it.
2. You MUST use Chrome. It does not work with IE.
3. The contentapi folder in IIS must be set to Anonymous.
4. Even though the directions say to start in Tableau, the best success is to start in Chrome with https://yoursite/Connectors/Tableau.aspx, have it take you to the Tableau WDC: Archer Login screen.0EMVM000002o1Nx.png
5. THEN go to Tableau and the Web connector and do the same and then log in to the same screen INSIDE Tableau.

This should successfully log you into Tableau with your Archer Metadata.
