Description
When attempting to copy and then paste a hyperlink from a word document (or a different source) into a Text Area field in Archer, the hyperlink is pasted as plain text.
In the below screenshot, the text 'Article Test' has the same format and appearance as a hyperlink but is not clickable and is just plain text; even though, it was copied from a source where it was a hyperlink.

Also, the Paste Formatting Options popup appears after pasting the hyperlink and then Keep formatting is selected.

Cause
The Enable links in rich text fields option in the Archer Control Panel is not enabled for this instance.
Resolution
The
Links in Rich Text Fields option is inactive by default. It can be activated either for all Archer instances or for a single specific instance. Follow the steps below:
Enable the Links in Rich Text Fields option for all instances1. Open
Archer Control Panel.
2. Click on
Plugins and select
Installation Settings.
3. Under the
General tab, go to the
Security section.
4. Select
Enable links in rich text fields next to the
Links in Rich Text Fields option.

Archer Control Panel.
2. Double-click the
instance name from the left pane to open the instance settings.
3. Under the
General tab, go to the
Security section.
4. Select
Enable links in rich text fields next to the
Links in Rich Text Fields option.
Note: You need to enable the
Override default setting option to be able to select the
Links in Rich Text Fields option.

Kindly note that necessary measures such as, but not limited to, ensuring that you are aware of the security risks (where users or automated processes are able to create records with malicious links that may harm Archer users) should be taken before enabling the 'Links in Rich Text Fields' option.
