Description

When clicking on a link in an External Links field in a record, the link does not redirect correctly in the browser (as shown below).

Cause

This is due to typing in the full URL that includes http:// or https://; in addition to, selecting the protocol from the drop-down which causes a doubling of the protocol upon clicking the External Link in a saved record.

Resolution

When typing in the URL in the External Links field in the record, remove the http:// section from it. For example, type www.google.com instead of http://www.google.com. This should allow Archer to successfully create an External Links field.
