Version(s): All Versions
Primary Deployment: On Premises

Description

Graphics that can be added through Manage Appearance, unlike Attachment fields, do not have a size limit that can be set from Archer UI. Since it may be a client requirement to set a limit (for security reasons), this article provides a method to apply this size limit.

Resolution

Follow the steps below:

  1. Open IIS.
  2. Go to the Archer Web Application.
  3. Open Request Filtering.
  4. Click on Edit Feature Settings.
  5. In the prompt window, change the Maximum allowed content length (Bytes) to control the maximum size of files that can be uploaded to Archer.

Notes

This setting controls the maximum size for ALL files uploaded to Archer.
For instance, if you set it to 60 MB and set an Attachment field configuration to a maximum size of 100 MB, then you will not be able to upload more than 60 MB to the Attachment field.
