Description

A user is not able to see the Advanced Workflow Audit Information in the History Log field of the records in an application; even though, the following is confirmed:
  • The user has full access to the record.
  • The user has access to the History Log field.
  • The Enable advanced workflow auditing in the history log field option is enabled in the History Log field.
  • The Enable Workflow Auditing option is enabled in the application's Advanced Workflow.
  • Other users granted the same level of access are able to see the Advanced Workflow Audit Information in the History Log field for the same record (as shown below).

Cause

There are one or more Permissions configured under Audit Settings in the application's Advanced Workflow and this user is not added to these permissions. A configured permission restricts the access to the Advanced Workflow Audit Information only to the users and groups selected in the permission.

Since the affected user is not selected in any permission, they will not be able to view the Advanced Workflow Audit Information in the History Log field.

Resolution

Add this user (and any other users/groups that need to access the Advanced Workflow Audit Information) to the configured permission(s):
  1. Expand the Administration Menu.
  2. Expand Application Builder, select Applications.
  3. Go to the affected Application/Questionnaire and open it.
  4. Go to the Advanced Workflow tab and maximize the workflow designer.
  5. In the right pane, scroll down to the Audit Settings section.
  6. Check the configured permission(s) and add the needed users/groups to the permissions.
  7. Then click on the Save Workflow button at the top left to save these changes.
