Description
When setting up Advanced Workflow Actions By Email, there are five settings in Archer that should be enabled. This article provides a checklist of these settings and how to enable each.
Resolution
Follow the steps below to enable
Advanced Workflow Actions By Email in Archer:
1.
Archer Control Panel configuration:
a. Log onto an
Archer server and open the
Archer Control Panel.
b. Double-click on the
Instance name.
c. Under the
Instance settings, go to the
General tab >
Notifications section >
Advanced Workflow Actions By Email Configuration.
d. Check
Enable for this instance and configure the rest of the settings.

Archer Control Panel can be directly applied by
On-Premises clients only.
SaaS clients would need to raise a
support case to have this configuration change implemented in their
Instance settings in the
ACP.
2.
User Profile configuration:
a. Login to Archer as an administrator.
b. Expand the
Administration menu > Expand
Access Control > Click on
Users.
c. Open the
User >
General tab > Scroll down to the
Account Maintenance section.
d. Next to
Advanced Workflow Actions By Email, check
Enable for this user.

On Demand Notification Template configuration:
a. Login to Archer as an administrator.
b. Expand the
Administration menu > Expand
Notifications > Click on
Application Notifications.
c. Open the On Demand Notification to be configured for Advanced Workflow Actions by Email.
d. Go to the
General tab > Check
Enable Advanced Workflow Actions by email.

Application configuration:
a. Login to Archer as an administrator.
b. Expand the
Administration menu > Expand
Application Builder > Click on
Applications > Open the
Application that the Advanced Workflow Actions By Email notification should be triggered from.
c. Go to the
Properties tab >
Options section > Check
Enable Advanced Workflow Actions By Email.

User Action Node configuration:
a. Login to Archer as an administrator.
b. Expand the
Administration menu > Expand
Application Builder > Click on
Applications > Open the
Application that the Advanced Workflow Actions By Email notification should be triggered from.
c. Go to the
Advanced Workflow tab >
Maximize Designer.
d. Go to the
User Action Node and click on it.
e. In the
Node Properties pane on the right, scroll down to the
Advanced Workflow Actions By Email section and check
Enable for this user action node.
