Summary

Archer announces the availability of Archer Engage Agent Release 2.0.0 for Archer Engage (formerly known as Archer Engage for Business Users).

This release is compatible with Archer platform version 6.9 SP 3 or above.

Details

Archer Engage Agent Release 2.0.0 contains the following changes:

This update includes support for features in the unified Archer Engage release v3.0.0.

Schema updates for the portaldatastore.json, including the product identifier

Please refer to  release notes  for details on defect fixes and known issues.

Recommendations

For On-premises Archer instances, admins must install a new agent to leverage new features of Archer Engage (E4BU) release v3.0.0.

Key considerations for On-Prem admins for this installer:

For upgrade scenarios, we have added step-by-step instructions. Please refer to the "Getting Engage Up and Running" section in online Engage Help.
Admin should update provision and data API URLs only after adding new Admin and Data API URLs to the trusted source list. Please follow this  blog  for more details.

Admin may need to update their server farm setting for record creation functionality. Please refer to Steps 17 & 18 in  Task 10: Configure Server farm  in the "Preparing for Installation" section in  Engage Help.

Key considerations for all Archer Engage instances:

The Archer Engage Agent URLs (for publishing content) have changed. If you are using the previous version of Archer Engage, you must change existing Custom Object URLs in your applications and questionnaires as follows:
- Publishing Assessments:
  - Old URL: /engageagent/api/questionnaire/Publish
  - Replace it with New URL: /engage/api/questionnaire/Publish
- Publishing or Updating Templates:
  - Old URL: /engageagent/api/template/Publish
  - Replace it with New URL: /engage/api/template/Publish
- Deleting Templates:
  - Old URL: /engageagent/api/template
  - Replace it with New URL: /engage/api/template

Note: When content is published using new URLs, the Engage Users must use different Engage Portal URLs for their respective regions to access the content. See the Archer Engage 3.0.0 Product Advisory for more information.

Admins must ensure the Product Identifier attribute in the custom objects for publishing an Assessments, Records, and Template is set to "E4BU." Please refer to the blog posts  Product Identifiers for Unified Engage Products  and  Record Creation in Archer Engage  for more information.
