Hi,
When I am adding a new questionnaire record from the target application record , I am hoping to skip the Target selection again. But I couldnt see a way to configure that. Can anyone share your input on it?

Users can open the target application record and click "Add New" on the questionnaire field. That will automatically populate the link to the target application record. I believe that's the only way to avoid the record selection panel.

Hi,
Yes, thats exactly what I am doing but the target application record is not populating automatically. Not sure if it is a known issue in this version . We are at 6.13 P1

I've not heard of a defect that would cause that behavior. We're on 6.13 P2 HF2 and questionnaires generate correctly. I'd recommend submitting an Archer support ticket.

I am facing the same issue. For one questionnaire its working fine. When I click on add new, its auto populating the target application details without asking me to choose a target record. While for another questionnaire its not. I raised a support ticket and they are working on it. They are not sure either.

Check if the User is having Proper Access Roles/ Record Permission on the Target Application.

One solution to it I found via this other guy is that somehow it is Archer's built in feature. So it works okay in their core applications. So, I was using Control Application and Operating Test Results questionnaire. When I used existing related record for Operating Test Results, then it worked. When I manually created a new cross reference and used related record the same way then it didnt. So not really sure whats happening. I raised support ticket as well but we were just going in circles. Another issue is that when this feature works, you cant lookup a record. Meaning, that you cant auto populate and also have a lookup option. Even if you select that in field properties.
Conclusion is, try using core application and existing cross references if possible. If its an ODA, then create a cross reference in the target questionnaire and then use the related record for creating new. For example, if you want add new feature in Control application for Operating Test Results, then create a cross reference in Operating Test Results and then put Operating Test Results related record on Control application layout. This way it should work.
